  1. MONKEY MUNCHERS
  2.  
  3. YOU'LL NEED:
  4. 4 slices thinly sliced, firm-textured whole wheat or white bread
  5. Cutting board
  6. 1 empty 8-ounce can or 1 empty 3-inch-diameter can or cutter
  7. Table knife
  8. Sandwich filling
  9. Raisins
  10. Plate
  11.  
  12. For the sandwich filling:
  13.  
  14. 1/4 cup peanut butter
  15. 2 tablespoons soft-style cream cheese
  16. 2 tablespoons milk
  17. 2 tablespoons crushed pineapple, undrained
  18. 1 tablespoon shredded carrot
  19. 2 tablespoons banana, chopped
  20.  
  21. STEP 1
  22. In a small bowl combine the peanut butter, cream cheese, and milk.  Stir until it is well mixed.  
  23.  
  24. Stir in pineapple, carrot, and banana.
  25.  
  26. Makes about 1/2 cup of filling or enough for 2 sandwiches.

  28. STEP 2
  29. Lay a slice of bread on a cutting board.  Press the can into the corner of 1 slice of bread.  Be sure to save the bread crusts.  Repeat with remaining bread.

  31. STEP 3
  32. Spread the sandwich filling on 2 of the bread circles.  Top with the 2 remaining circles.  
  33.  
  34. To make ears, use the pieces of bread crusts.  
  35.  
  36. Make eyes, noses, and mouths with raisins.  To make them stick to the bread, put a little sandwich filling on the raisins.  Makes 2 monkey faces.
